C&L's Late Nite Music Club With Amanaz

For tonight's Music Club, we're bringing you some Zamrock from the '70s.

Amanaz is said to be one of the more prominent artists within the Zamrock genre that emerged in the '70s. If you're unfamiliar with what Zamrock is, it's a musical style that came out of Zambia that derived from a combination of Jimi Hendrix's psychedelic rock and James Brown's funk. Pretty cool when you think of it that way and listen to it from that perspective. To get you more acquainted with Zamrock, here's an entire album of it by Amanaz, simply entitled, Africa. Enjoy!

If you had to combine the styles of two different musical artists, who would they be?

Can you help us out?

For 17 years we have been exposing Washington lies and untangling media deceit, but now Facebook is drowning us in an ocean of right wing lies. Please give a one-time or recurring donation, or buy a year's subscription for an ad-free experience. Thank you.
