Um, Republican family values?

Adam Savader, reportedly a former intern for Paul Ryan, was arrested and charged with Internet extortion and cyber stalking by the FBI on Tuesday. Savader apparently sent anonymous text messages to 15 women saying he had nude photographs and threatening to distribute them unless he was sent more photographs. If convicted, he faces a maximum of five years in prison.

FBI:

A 21-year-old Great Neck, New York man was charged in a criminal complaint in the Eastern District of Michigan with Internet extortion and cyber stalking, announced United States Attorney Barbara L. McQuade.

Sarah Palin says "Rage against the machine, vote for Newt."

Rage against the machine?

Well, it is a cartoon, which is the only place Palin should be allowed to speak about politics.

Gingrich made the claim while explaining to CBS “Face the Nation” host Bob Schieffer Sunday why he is a more attractive candidate to South Carolina voters than former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

“Well, I think it’s very hard for him,” Gingrich said.

“I don’t want to pick weakest or strongest. I think it’s very hard for him to differentiate Romneycare from Obamacare. It’s very hard for him to differentiate appointing liberal judges, which he did when he was the governor of Massachusetts. These are things that are going to come up and I think for the conservative movement it makes it more difficult frankly. And that’s why I think here in South Carolina I’m probably going to win next Saturday because as a Georgia Reagan conservative, I fit much more comfortably with the average South Carolina Republican.”

With a crowd of Occupy Wall Street protesters gathered on the sidewalk, Newt Gingrich skipped an appearance at his campaign headquarters in New Hampshire, where about 100 volunteers and supporters waited for him on the eve of primary day.

His campaign’s security team pulled the plug on the event after determining that the front and back entrances to the office were unsafe for Mr. Gingrich and his wife to enter, said R.C. Hammond, the campaign spokesman. The disappointed volunteers were scheduled to join Mr. Gingrich later in the evening at The Draft sports bar in Concord, where he planned to watch the college football championship game.

Mr. Hammond, who piped in by speakerphone to a press bus, declined to say why the security team made the decision. The protesters waved signs and chanted, supporting two competing candidates in the Republican primary: Ron Paul and an individual named Vermin Supreme, who wore a rubber boot on his head and danced while speaking through a megaphone.

Later, Gingrich told Fox News' Sean Hannity that "We decided that it wasn't worth risking some kind of big confrontation."

Not Everyone in Iowa is Greeting Gingrich Warmly

Protesters from the Occupy Wall Street movement on Dec. 21 disrupted an Iowa Statehouse press conference in which former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich was receiving endorsements from Iowa House Speaker Kraig Paulsen, R-Hiawatha, and New Hampshire House Speaker William O'Brien, R-Mont Vernon.

The Des Moines Register reports that local Occupy Wall Street movement protesters drove the GOP presidential hopeful out of the facility. Chants ranged from "mic check" to "put people first" to "speaker Gingrich, you can run but you can't hide."

Gingrich remarked to the seated audience that the protesters they had just seen and heard were "the one-tenth of one percent."

This wasn't the first time Gingrich has been interrupted by protesters. Last week, the 99 percent dropped in on Gringrich's University of Iowa event, asserting that he has a "callous attitude toward poor people."'

And on Tuesday, one Iowa City voter hurled obscenities at Gingrich during a grocery store campaign stop: "You know something? You're a f-cking a--hole," he said. Talking Points Memo video follows:
