Occupy DC Demonstrator Threw Bottle, Not Brick
Authorities in Washington now say a demonstrator at an Occupy DC encampment threw a liquid-filled soda bottle, not a brick, hitting a U.S. Park Police officer after police began removing tents over the weekend.
Court documents available Monday say the demonstrator, Jeremiah Desausa, threw the Coke bottle Saturday. Authorities said he resisted arrest and was subdued with a Taser.
The Park Police officer, a lieutenant, was flown to a hospital where he was treated for his injuries and later released, though the police statement says he is still enduring blunt force trauma and "seriously compromised" vision in his eye.

I would like to see or hear a detailed list of the injuries sustained by DC Occupiers.
I've already heard of one person with both a fractured arm and a skull fracture.
Similarly, I'd like to hear a detailed list of the injuries sustained by Oakland Occupiers on Jan 28.
We've heard so much (from both the MSM and whiny liberals) about so-called "violence" (read: property destruction) by the Black Bloc but virtually nothing about the injuries to protestors.
In Oakland I heard about a pregnant woman so badly beaten by batons she required hospitalization, but only on the recorded livestreams, not on any of the "news" programs or so-called liberal blogs. On the other hand we've heard endless concern trolling about burning a flag and causing a few thousand dollars damage inside City Hall, or to Whole Foods, or the windows at a Bank of America.
When the media - and the blogs - finally realize there's a difference between property destruction (and politically targetted property destruction at that, not random destruction) and physical assault and stop indiscriminately referring to both as "violence" it will be one giant step forward in the national conversation.
I recall eighty-something-year-old Lori Rainey saying, months after she was pepper sprayed, that she hadn't yet recovered full lung capacity. What's a few thousand dollars of broken windows compared to such a wonderful person's ability to breath?
When will government of the people, by the politicians, for the corporations perish from this Earth?
Not soon enough!
