I watched a lot of the parade today and I didn't see the banner. What I did learn is why they had the parade today instead of on New Year's Day. They have an old blue law there that bans all parades on Sundays because at the time it was written, they didn't want a parade to spook the horses at churches. Seems like they might want to look into changing that law. I doubt many horses are parked outside churches today.

KTLA in LA cut off the broadcast before the final float was even finished moving past the bleachers. Needless to say, we did not get to see any of the Occupy marchers.
Of course, we also didn't get to see the usual herd of "religious" nut jobs who always follow the parade bellowing hate through bullhorns, so maybe that's why they did it. Uh huh.
I watched the entire parade in person (I live in Pasadena) and waited at the end to see the Occupy protesters, but I never saw them (at least not anyone that I recognized) -- there was the usual post-parade lineup of honking tow trucks, and a few religious signs, but no octopus and no occupy signs like I would have expected. I even walked up the street a few blocks to see if they had just fallen behind a bit, but no dice.
Did they get waylaid somehow, or were they just really far behind the end of the parade?
Here's the question I have always wanted to ask someone who has been to that parade, do all the many flowers emit an aroma that the people watching can actually smell.

No, you can't smell the flowers from the sidewalk during the parade... (mostly you smell the donuts and bacon-wrapped hot dogs that the vendors are selling, instead ;^))
The floats do go up on public exhibit for a couple of days afterwards though, and you can walk up next to them and smell the flowers at that point.

Was the banner made of flowers, seeds, or natural floral products? If not perhaps that was the reason we didn't see it.
The surfing dogs on that one float was Martini's favorite. He was standing up on his back legs close to the tv and walking back and forth from left to right. I think he admired their cool abilities.

which required a tow truck myself. The surfing dog float was great. Amazing how many of the 99% will waste such time on frivolus wasteful material things, appearing to be happy in these desperate times when they are at risk of indefinite detention by the Obomber.

My ex and his wife attended the parade and they saw the float. They think there were about 1000 occupy folks there (they had a 3"x4" sticker on saying, "We are the 99%").
The "Constitution" they did was the most impressive apparently.

The beautiful Occupy float was no broadcast? Was the parade broadcast by more than one network? What are the names of these networks that hide patriotic spirited Americans, proud of the constitution?
