C&L's Late Nite Music Club with Jerry Garcia
Happy Birthday Jerry.

This is the audio that Billmon was writing about. O'Reilly's been broaching the same topic. Can civilian deaths be tolerated? As if that should be part of any equation. The answer is no. Iraq falls under that category as well since most of the media has for some reason stopped paying attention to it.
Rush: "Until civilians -- frankly, I'm not sure how many of them are actually just innocent little civilians running around versus active Hezbo types, particularly the men -- but until those civilians start paying a price for propping up these kinds of regimes, it's not going to end, folks. What do you mean, civilians start paying a price? I just ask you to consult history for the answer to that.
He says nobody cares about the rockets being shot into Israel. Well my best friend is near Haifa and is hiding from them so yes--I care. Olbermann awarded Rush with his "worst person" award because his statements eerily echo Osama Bin Ladin's sentiments about civilian deaths, as well.

Digby on EJ Dionne
FDL:
Digby is right again, as usual. E.J. Dionne repeats a piece of conventional wisdom that irks the hell out of me every time I hear it - if Lieberman loses the primary and runs as an independent it will distract everyone from the true villain, the GOP, and therefore we should just give him a pass.
Balderdash. Lieberman has been an integral part of the GOP’s bully machine for the past six years, the Democrat useful for his willingness to dicipline his own kind. Ned Lamont is running a legitimate primary contest and Joe is refusing to abide by the results of that primary...read on

Let's try to figure out what untruths he's spreading about Bob Casey in this clip from Countdown:
I've had a few technical problems today. The site was down for a while so until I have a chance to make the clip, check out Goodman taking MSNBC to task for dumping Phil Donohue as they celebrate their 10 years.
I have the video clips now

Amy Goodman's proof is true. Donohue was fired because he was against the Iraq war. Olbermann still might have had a show either way. Maybe there would have been no Tucker?
The “Swift Boat” veterans who grabbed national headlines in 2004 when they attacked John Kerry in his failed presidential bid now are turning their sights to Johnstown. Their target is U.S. Rep. John Murtha, a critic of the Iraq war and a de facto spokesman on the subject for the national Democratic Party. Armed as a new group – Veterans for the Truth – they’re bringing their campaign to “Redeploy John Murtha From Congress” to his backyard.

See this before? As the desperation gets worse because of their uncertainty over the '06 election, this will happen more and more.
